As professional musicians for more than 25 years,together as husband and wife for 13 Connye Florance and Kevin Madill have found their way across the cultural and racial boundaries that would keep them apart to an understanding of what is possible - between the youngest sibling of former Freedom Riders and the great nephew of an alleged KKK member. How is it that these two could cross the divide to share a life together? Through music, love and understanding.

As servants of God with renewed purpose they embark on a journey of healing, with songs and conversation to encourage, inspire and infuse new hope for healing the wounds that continue to hurt and divide us racially and culturally.

What a blessing it is to be making new friends sharing a message of love and hope! Thanks and God's grace to all those who have welcomed and shared in fellowship with us, and those whom we have yet to meet!

Though still in its infancy, Crossing The Divide Music Ministry has already crossed numerous denominational and cultural boundaries to impact communities across the country. From undergraduate students and university professors to neighborhood senior citizens- Georgia to Nevada; from Methodist ministries to Catholic Diocese, Baptist, Episcopalian and Unitarian Universalist congregations alike, the response to Crossing The Divide’s powerful message of love and reconciliation has been the same.
